Viral of the month: Armadillo Scooterwear

by Phil Szomszor on December 18, 2009

Here’s an online viral that caught my attention (actually, it’s a former client who we did some work for a while ago) that manages to blend humour, a story line and reasonably discrete product placement. It’s for Armadillo Scooterwear which, as its name suggests, is a brand of hard wearing, stylish scooter garb. And if you’re wondering why it looks (and sounds) a cut above the average viral, here’s why:

The creative team was lead by Amsterdam based Italian/Spanish duo Ham & Kaas. Famous London based production company Stink Ltd, worked together with the British Directing Team Darkfibre to produce the viral.

The Director of Photography, Michael Bonvillain is famed for his work with TV series Lost, Fringe and most recently, the film Zombieland. The accompanying beat is from Canadian two-piece, Lullabye Arkestra.

So, there you have it. If you like this, then check out the extended version (although the clowns with custard pies don’t make any more sense).
