Welcome to new technology, media and online PR bloggers

Blogging requires passion by Hugh MacLeod

Plenty has been written in the past couple of years about blogging being dead and Twitter causing the demise of blogging, but I’m still not so sure. I’ve got plenty of client examples of how blogging has helped as part of a communications mix, but most of all, what I love about it is that it’s a great personal media platform – and for me it actually goes hand in hand with the likes of Twitter.

So, it’s always pleasing when colleagues start blogging too. Here at Citigate, Ewan Robertson has just started a media blog, and Pete Marcus has been contributing to The Media Blog for a little while now.

This week, a former colleague at Berkeley PR, Becca Wheeler has dived into the pool of PR and social media bloggers. Becca follows Paul Stallard (still at Berkeley PR), who’s now regarded as one of the foremost technology PR bloggers, particularly for his Meet the Media series. I notice he’s been blogging for two years now, almost to the day.  So, welcome everyone, and look forward to reading your posts.
