I played football last night, which was a mistake, 22 days from the Tri. I managed to pick up a groin strain, which, apart from the discomfort of doing it, meant I had to play the rest of the game in goal. I’m rubbish in goal.
But worse than that, my training programme - for what it’s worth - has taken a bad turn. I reckon it’ll be a good week before I can run again. Perhaps I’ll get a swim and ride in before then - we’ll just have to see.
