A right pudding

Yesterday I competed in the votwo Pudding Catcher event near Southampton. The premise of the run is to catch a giant Christmas Pudding, who runs at break neck speed around a cross country course.
It was a very relaxed affair (only 120-odd runners took part), which was ideal after my recent layoff recovering from yet another cold. Although that’s not how we felt as we hung around the starting line - I’ve never seen so many lean muscle-filled leggings. There wasn’t a single overweight person in sight, and I found it difficult finding a B2B (bum to beat). So, after being genuinely worried that I’d end up coming last, I was quite happy to come in 85th. But it wasn’t about the results. Every finisher was treated to Christmas pudding and custard… (cue Homer Simpson voice “mmmm Christmas pud”.)

I’ve put some pics up from the weekend on my Flickr account. Plus there are a few more on votwo’s site.
