Hastings Half: Queensway

The Hastings Half marathon was a mostly wet affair, but, with a cliche worthy of a local newspaper, it didn’t dampen the spirits of the runners taking part.

My mate Emma ran in 2.04, which she was pleased about, seeing as the course was pretty hilly. This pic was taken at around the 4.5 mile mark, half way up Queensway - it’s hillier than it looks, honest.

So, next event for me is the Derby 10k, assuming my back is better by then, with the possibility of St Albans Half in the summer. Mind you, I don’t actually compete in any events these days, just sign up to them…
